Titanic Podcasts

Well, there is one more day of school left! The past two weeks, in between all the 5th grade graduation stuff, we have been studying the Titanic. We watched informational videos, investigated buoyant force with tin foil and marbles and researched in books and online. The students chose a topic they were interested in and took notes. Then students wrote one paragraph or multiple paragraphs depending on the amount of information they found. The last step was making the podcasts!

What Worked:
- The lessons and videos
- The note taking process
- Getting everyone's audio for the podcasts

What I want to improve on:
- More time to integrate other area of the curriculum
- More time for kids to get more research (time was VERY limited)
- Add music to the podcasts

It was a great first venture into podcasting. There is a link in the margin of this blog that will bring you to the podcasts if you want to hear them.
